Nevis Range Mountain Experience is just 7 miles outside Fort William and sits on the mountain of Aonach Mor situated in the midst of some of the world's most beautiful and ancient landscapes, just a stone's throw from Ben Nevis.
The mountain gondola will carry you easily to 650m on the slopes of the mountain where you'll find easy mountain walks to stunning viewpoints, a children's playpark and a gift shop. Then you can relax and enjoy hearty cooking and snacks in the self service Snowgoose restaurant & bar.
At the base of the gondola you'll find the High Wire Adventure courses, a series of ropes courses in Leanachan forest with an easy course for small children and more built high in the trees for adventurous adults.
Also at the base station is the new Pinemarten cafe bar which serves freshly prepared meals from locally sourced produce as well as delicious home baking and coffees.
In Leanachan forest there's lovely trails for autumn walking.
There are mountain biking routes in the forest, from easy forest roads to trails ridden by champions in the World Cup. In the summer riders take their bikes on the gondola to access the World Cup downhill track and a cross country trail. You can hire bikes locally, available on site until the end of October and also in Fort William.
In the winter months you can go skiing and snowboarding on the snowy slopes on the upper mountain. If you're a beginner then it's best to book into our Snowsports School for some lessons and you can hire skis and snowboards as well as warm jackets and trousers on site. There's slopes for all levels including the infamous ‘back corries' plus a terrain park on the summit.
The gondola closed for its annual maintenance from November and reopens in time for Christmas when Christmas menus are available and santa is on site. The High Wire Adventure is open until the end of October and advance booking is advised. The Pinemarten restaurant is open throughout the year.
